Several days ago, I went to an american style bistro located in the heart of Jakarta's business district, Sudirman. At the first sight I thought it was a spacious place, but as soon as I set my foot on the dining area, I was wrong. The place was not too spacious and I hate their freakishly hot air conditioner. Enough with the ramblings, we'll move on into the dishes.
We decided to order mushroom soup and salmon balls for appetizer. Surprisingly, I love this soup. It's fluffy, well seasoned, and the they put a lot of mushroom chunks inside. Downtown's salmon balls was pretty nice but it's unfortunate that it has a fishy smell in it.

My friend ordered Jumbo linguine pesto with king prawn for the main course. The linguine was served with heaps of pesto sauce, topped with sliced blue cheese and king prawns. The linguine itself was perfectly cooked, as italian said al dente. What impressed me the most was the freshness of their king prawns.

I chose Sliced BBQ beef brisket. It was a sliced beef drizzled with BBQ sauce, served with sauteed veggies and potato cake in the side. The beef was cooked well and nicely seasoned, but it was way too dry for my liking.

The dessert was superb. I can't even say a word for their dessert. We ordered Chocolate molten cake to share. It was a moist chocolate cake with warm chocolate inside that melted nicely in my mouth, served with vanilla ice cream. YUM!

Luscious granny smith apples baked in flaky crust, drizzled with
powdered sugar and caramel sauce. Definitely, I will come again for this
heavenly George Pie. I don't need to say more, let the picture speak itself.
